Ballots for deacon election will be available at each welcome center from November 24 to December 8th. Voting will be done on Sunday, December 15. Ballots should be turned in no later than Sunday, December 8, 2024. 

Deacons serve as HELPERS.

They support our pastor and staff, take an active role in the ministries of Liberty, continuously looks for areas of need and move to meet those needs. 

Deacons serve as HEALERS. 

They utilize the Word of God to comfort those in need, support the church family in times of crisis, and are peacemakers in times of strife. 

Deacons serve as HARVESTERS. 

They embrace the Great Commission and commit to practice intentional evangelism. Deacons are mission-minded, making every effort to participate in missional activites, freely giving their own time, talents, and treasures to see God's Kingdom come. 

The Deacons of Liberty Baptist Church affirm the men listed below as qualified candidates for deacon ministry through our church family. We are asking that these men be elected to serve beginning January 2025. 

Returning Deacon:

Ray Franklin 

Married to Mandy Franklin and father to Anthony Franklin, Ray has been a member of Liberty since 2003. He has served with the Critical Incident Team, Life Group Leadership and Men's Ministry, and the Worship Production Team. 

New to Serving at LBC:

Brent Doriety 

Married to Candace Doriety and father of 4, Brent has been a Liberty member since 2021. He has served with the Critical Incident Team and Life Group Leadership. 

Johnny Rich

Married to Wendy Rich and father of 3, Johnny has been a member of Liberty since 2021. He has served with the Critical Incident Team and the Worship Production Team. 

Mike Strayer

Married to Holly Strayer and father of 3, Mike has beena Liberty member since 2019. He has served with the Critical Incident Team, First Impressions Team as a Shuttle Driver, and Life Group Leadership.
